Description
Genesol 734 has been developed as a general-purpose cleaner for a wide range of organic based foulants found in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-filtration membrane systems.
Genesol 734 is particularly effective against clay (aluminium silicate), which can be difficult to remove with conventional cleaners.
UF and MF units can also benefit from speciality cleaning alongside chemically enhaced backwashes.
Application
Genesol 734 should be used as a 1 - 2% solution at a stabilized pH of 10.5-11.5 in membranes with organic fouling. Genesol 734 should be alternately soaked and recycled through the membrane system for 2 - 4 hours; cleaning with warm solutions considerably improves the performance. After cleaning, the membrane system should be thoroughly flushed, until the pH values of the feed and the discharge are the same. Cleaning solutions of Genesol 734 will have a tendency to foam. Genesol 734 contains bubble generating technology to gently agitate and lift membrane foulants away from the surface increasing cleaning efficiency.
Genesol 734 is readily soluble in water and the cleaning solution
should be used immediately after preparation.
Health and Safety
Genesol 734 is classified as non-hazardous for transport and has been rigorously tested to ensure the same cleaning efficiency as existing 700 series of powdered cleaners. Genesol 734 is a powder blend of mixed cleaners, including a surfactant, biodegradable chelant, and inorganic phosphate. It is compatible with carbon steel and commonly used materials of construction found in membrane plants and CIP
installations.
Protective clothing should be used. Observe all safety precautions shown in the material safety data sheet, available on request.
Packaging
Available in 10 kg and 25 kg plastic pails and 1,000 kg bulk bags. Under normal storage conditions the shelf life of Genesol 734 is 1-2 years. Ensure the packaging is sealed after use and the Genesol 734 remains dry.
