Description
Genesol 721 is a low foaming, multicomponent, powder cleaner for membrane systems. It is designed to reduce differential pressure, increase flux and improve salt rejection. The blend of chelating acids removes oxides of iron and manganese plus calcium carbonate scale. It is also effective in
removing other metallic foulants such as aluminium.
Application
Genesol 721 is highly effective when used as a 1% -2% solution with alternating cycles of circulation and soaking for periods of 2 - 3 hours. The high ionic strength solution creates osmotic effects which attract permeate back through the membrane helping to break up and release deposits from the surface and so enhance the chelating action. After cleaning, the membrane system should be flushed with chlorinefree permeate water until reaching neutral pH.
Genesol 721 is readily dissolved in water.
